Donna Lewis is a Maryland native who moved to Huntsville in 2018. She moved with Raymond, her husband of thirty years, and 5 of their 9 children. She graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Therapy. Aftward, she joined the United States Air Force in 1986. She served as Crew and Instructor Weapons Director in the Air Force until 1991.

Donna decided to home educate her children then and is presently homeschooling her 3 youngest children. She also serves as a Classical Conversations Foundations and Essentials Tutor, Challenge III Director, Support Representative, and Parent Practicum Speaker.

Through Classical Conversations, she regularly attended online workshops and training sessions to hone her skills.  She also volunteers as a tutor at The Legacy Center in Huntsville. There, she assists students enrolled in public school online learning programs.

Donna possesses a strong background in individualized lesson planning and instruction in home and classroom settings. She is adept at encouraging parents to teach their children at home. She particularly enjoys demonstrating and teaching them how to achieve their goals.

Her mission as a mother is to teach her children to know what they believe and think. In addition, she teaches them to explain and have conversations with grace and humility. She hopes to lead all children in conversations that teach them how to think and provide enriching information to think on. Her favorite educational saying is,” the quality of the questions you ask determines the quality of the answers you get”

Donna Lewis is an avid walker, occasional swimmer, and hopeful author.
