Jennifer Johnson is a Huntsville native. She attended Auburn University and The University of Alabama in Huntsville, earning her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. While teaching for Huntsville City Schools, she earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M University. During that time, Jennifer held a Class A Teaching Certification and was recognized as a Highly Qualified Teacher. This passion and talent for education have only continued to blossom as she works with students at The Learning Team.
She later taught at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. As an education consultant, Jennifer played a significant role in developing, managing, and marketing two education websites: TVA Stem and Currents of Change. These websites provide free resources and information for teachers and students in the Tennessee Valley.
When she isn’t working, you can find her cooking healthy meals, biking, or practicing yoga. Jennifer Johnson is a Master Gardener, and her passion is gardening to attract butterflies. She shares her love of butterfly gardening with community groups and has helped several schools and a group on the arsenal develop pollinator gardens. In fact, Jennifer helped The Learning Team and Grove Academy build our very own pollinator garden behind our school.
