Laura McVay has a BA and MA in English from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She also has Class A Certification in Secondary ELA. Laura’s academic literary focus is literature up to Shakespeare. Her professional focus is divided into two spheres: ACT English and ACT Reading Prep as a means to prepare students for academic success in college and technical communications.
When Laura is not tutoring students, she is the Webmaster and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) specialist for The Learning Team. She discovered an fascinating connection between language and technology. Laura is currently finishing UC Davis’ graduate SEO certification program.
When Laura is not tutoring, writing, or editing, she enjoys knitting, spinning, and weaving. She loves spending time with her husband and two children.
