Laura Payne, owner of Sensory Adventure, is a licensed Occupational Therapist with over 12 years of
experience. She has training in Handwriting and Keyboarding through the Learning Without Tears
Program. Born in Nashville, TN, Laura earned her BA at Knox College for undergraduate study and her MA at Washington
University School of Medicine’s Occupational Therapy Program. Laura and her
family live in the Huntsville-Madison area. Laura’s passion is working with children. She believes that all
children need a safe and fun space to explore and learn using all 8 senses: sight, hearing, taste, smell,
touch, proprioception, interoception and vestibular. These senses help children do everything from running
and playing to eating and sleeping. In her free time, Laura enjoys reading a good book and going outside.
